association, is a venture initiated by
Italian attorneys practicing in
the business and corporate field.
They decided to contribute the
expertise and knowledge about the
Master of Laws, gained during their
practice in the U.S., to benefit both
those who obtained and those who are still pursuing an LL.M. program
at any major U.S. Law schools.

HOW TO JOIN THE ALMA There are several membership levels. In order to qualify as a member you must satisfy at least the requirements for the basic level: - Basic members (prospective students et similia): Individuals who hold at least a college degree and are interested in joining in the ALMA network, regardless of having obtained an LL.M. degree. Eg. Prospective LL.M. students, Italian attorneys interested in broadening their international connections. To join the ALMA under this level, you must address a specific inquiry to the ALMA board in order to obtain permission to join the network. The membership fee is $80. - Regular members: Individuals who completed or are currently pursuing an LL.M. degree at one of the following schools (in each one, there is an ALMA club): Yale, Harvard, Columbia, NYU, University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago, Northwestern, Georgetown, University of Michigan, University of Virginia, Berkeley, Duke, Cornell, Boston University, Stanford e Fordham. (no membership fee if under 35 year old - $80 after 35). THOSE STUDENTS WHOSE SCHOOL IS NOT COMPRISED IN THE ABOVE LIST, CAN JOIN ALMA ONLY IF THEY ARE GRANTED PERMISSION FROM THE BOARD AFTER SPECIFIC INQUIRY. ALMA WILL THEN VERIFY THE QUALITY AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE LL.M. DEGREE AND GRANT ACCESS TO THE ASSOCIATION - Special members: Individuals who embody the core values of ALMA as a consequence of their accomplishments in the legal or business field and/or their contribution to our International network. In this category we enumerate distinguished professors, American attorneys (J.D. holders), partners at major American or European Legal firms, founders and executives of similar International associations etc. The membership fee is $80. Exemption from the fee payment is granted to those individuals who are invited to join the Association in capacity of speakers or special guests at our events - SPONSORS: Law and consultancy firms, other non-profit associations, companies that are interested in enjoying the benefits of belonging to an exclusive International network.
